When it reaches the House, OPPOSE the shutdown deal that was negotiated in the Senate. Instead, work on a bipartisan solution to fund the government that will keep health care costs down for families. Congress must pass a funding bill that reopens the government, makes permanent the Affordable Care Act enhanced premium tax credits, which have made health insurance affordable for more than 22 million people, and repeals the Medicaid cuts passed in the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”. Additionally, include guardrails to block Trump from illegally withholding congressionally approved funds in any government funding bill.
Millions of Americans expect Congress to do its job, for both parties to work together to fund the government, and to ensure the health and safety of all Americans. Vote AGAINST the Senate deal and instead pass a bill that will reopen the government and extend health care subsidies that will ensure Americans are able to pay for the health care they need and deserve.
