I write to you with grave urgency as a constituent who watches in horror as President Trump’s escalating military actions plunge the world deeper into war, chaos, and humanitarian catastrophe. Civilians are being killed by the thousands, essential infrastructure is being targeted in violation of international law, and the globe now teeters on the brink of severe fuel and food shortages that will devastate families everywhere — including here at home. Reports confirm that U.S. strikes have destroyed hospitals, power plants, water systems, and food storage facilities — actions that violate the Geneva Conventions and constitute war crimes under U.S. and international law. These are not “collateral damages”; they are deliberate threats against civilian populations that fuel hatred, radicalization, and endless cycles of violence. The Constitution gives Congress the power of the purse, the authority to declare war, and the duty to check executive overreach. Yet silence and inaction from our legislative leaders have allowed this crisis to spiral out of control. We cannot wait for another massacre, another blacked-out city, or another empty grocery shelf before acting. I urgently demand that you: 1. Introduce or support immediate legislation to halt all unauthorized military engagements and prohibit attacks on civilian infrastructure. 2. Demand full transparency from the Administration about strike targets, casualty counts, and legal justifications. 3. Lead bipartisan efforts to restore diplomatic channels and humanitarian aid to conflict zones. 4. Hold the President accountable through hearings, subpoenas, and impeachment proceedings for violations of domestic and international law. Our moral standing, national security, and the lives of countless innocents depend on your courage now. History will judge us not by our words, but by whether we acted to stop this. You have a duty to intervene on behalf of the millions of innocent helpless people being harmed…so many of them just children. Please act — immediately!
