Thank You For Your Time and Service.

To: Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine

From: A constituent in Virginia Beach, VA

April 21

Excuse me, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to kindly express my thoughts regarding your recent decision to step down from your positions in the senate. It would have been much appreciated if you had communicated your intentions earlier, as it has caused distress among those who rely on your leadership and support in our communities. I understand that there may have been reasons behind your actions, however, it is disheartening to see the impact it has on the livelihoods of many. The issue of unwarranted surveillance and the potential ban of certain platforms like TikTok are concerning, and I hope that these decisions are made with careful consideration for the rights and well-being of all individuals. I must admit, I am disappointed in the current political landscape and the choices being made. It is crucial for leaders to prioritize the needs of the people above all else. Rest assured, I will not be supporting your candidacy in the upcoming election, and I believe many others share this sentiment. I humbly request that, prior to responding, you kindly consider refraining from making a generic comment about "Trump being worse." After careful observation, I have come to the conclusion that Biden may not necessarily be any better, and I am simply not interested in engaging in debates about two individuals who are both in their late 70s and early 80s. I urge you to reflect on the consequences of your actions and prioritize the welfare of those you serve. Let us work together to create positive change and ensure a better future for all. Thank you for taking the time to consider my perspective.
