Don't Cut Social Security Staff!!

To: Sen. Lee, Rep. Owens, Sen. Curtis

From: A constituent in West Jordan, UT

February 22

The Trump administration's cuts to the Social Security Administration (SSA) are concerning and will negatively impact people with disabilities who rely on these benefits. As taxpayers and contributors to Social Security, our funds not only cover our own future benefits but also the staffing required to administer the programs effectively. With the increasing number of retirees from the baby boomer and Gen X generations, we should be expanding the SSA's workforce to meet the growing demand rather than diminishing its capacity. These cuts undermine the very system that millions of Americans have paid into and depend on for their financial security. We urge a reconsideration of these harmful policies that jeopardize the well-being of our most vulnerable citizens.
