I have one question for you - why are you ignoring the will of the people of Missouri? We overwhelmingly voted for Amendment 3. And yet, you decide not to do your job, forgetting that you work for us, not the other way around. And if I didn't do my job because I didn't like my boss' directives, I'd get fired. So what makes you the exception. We in the state have bigger issues at hand.
According to the US News World Report and the Pew Research Center, we are ranked 33 out of 50. That is a grade of 66% (D). We rank 50th in the nation (F) for teacher salary. Even with the pay raise approved through the previous state administration, we are still 50th in wages and access to quality academic resources. Nationally, our healthcare system ranks 45 out of 50 (F). In a recent Child Care Aware Missouri report, 78 areas within the state do not provide enough access to adequate healthcare for children. That is 33% of the state's population.
Do you enjoy wasting our tax money when you set up sham elections and then refuse to concede and grant the will of the people? I’ve lost count of how many times Republicans ignore the will of the people.
So again, I ask, why are you ignoring the will of the people?
