HHS held a news briefing today. HHS Secretary RFK Jr unveiled the nationwide plan to cut prescription prices on 'biosimilar' pharmaceuticals. RFK Jr and Mehmet Oz were among the presenters. It is my understanding that HHS is going to be DEREGULATING RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT to roll out cheaper 'biologic' biosimilar generic drugs. "Trump RX" was mentioned by Mehmet Oz, but he didn't go into details. Is Trump going into the pharmaceutical business? I'm very concerned about their announcement, especially if they are rolling back safety measures on drug research and development to rush pharmaceuticals into the market. Please look into this. How do they expect people to benefit from any cheaper drug if they can't afford health insurance to go see a doctor? The doctor provides the prescription to have access to the 'cheaper' drugs. Seems like a cart before the horse scenario. Thank you.
