American citizens are the voters who elect our officials. We do so because we believe these officials will listen to our concerns and act on them in Congress. Part of listening to our opinions sometimes involves admitting that they don’t necessarily reflect your own personal opinions, but representing us anyway. WE THE PEOPLE are picketing the proposed sites of concentration camps. WE THE PEOPLE are protesting outside existing ones. WE THE PEOPLE have demanded that the construction of more of these prisons cease immediately. And WE THE PEOPLE see nothing but blind ignorance to those demands.
History tells us where the building of camps will lead. Contemporary Germany is telling us where the building of camps will lead. Holocaust survivors are telling us where the building of camps will lead. WE THE PEOPLE know where the building of camps will lead, and WE THE PEOPLE demand an immediate end to the cruelty.
