🚨 Oppose NC House Bill 10! 🚨 North Carolina's House Bill 10 is a dangerous and unconstitutional bill that must be stopped! 🔴 Unconstitutional Detentions: The bill mandates that county sheriffs detain anyone suspected of being in the U.S. illegally if requested by federal ICE. This violates due process rights and forces local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws, which is not their role and undermines community trust. 🔴 Harmful to Public Education: The bill also increases private-school voucher funding by $463.5 million over the next two years—money that could have been used to support our already underfunded public schools. This will lead to budget shortfalls and deprive our public education system of much-needed resources. This is nothing more than a transfer of public funds to private enterprises, while leaving our public schools in the lurch. ❌ I ask the NC Senate to uphold the Governor’s veto!
