I am sickened by the Trump administration’s ICE abductions we’re seeing all over social media and your support of this activity. You said the focus were those who were criminals. IN fact, the focus is law-abiding immigrants voluntarily appearing for routing meetings or when being called in for a routine meeting. And how do we know who the criminals are if we don’t follow due process? Deportations on hearsay, deportations of child citizens. The Republicans’ approach to immigration is disgusting, xenophobic, cruel and LAZY—it’s the US Gestapo. Remember D-Day? We went to war to defeat the Nazi’s. We should pick up the arms against it in our own country. It’s also stupid economically. You’ve heard of the Garden State, right?? Who do you think keeps those farms running? The construction booming? To think this approach won’t destroy us economically is so out of touch. YOU are ruining lives, killing tourism, shrinking our GDP—don’t you remember the pandemic with limited hours, and empty shelves due to illness/lack of workers? This immigration “Policy” is having the same effect. Congress needs to push back. It’s OK to say you were wrong, because you were wrong. Not too late to try and fix the direction of this country. STAND UP. This is not who the majority of US are. Thanks.
