As a parent whose child is educated via a home study program through a public charter school, I am writing to oppose AB 84. AB 84 would impose numerous harms on students like my child, including but not limited to: - A 30% reduction in state funding, paying my child’s school less than every public school in California - Discontinuation of all educational programs not directly taught by the charter’s teachers; this would severely impact those of us who homeschool in order to enrich our children in the ways they need most - Major budget reductions because many of us cannot drive to our charter’s location of record Please Vote NO on AB 84 and encourage your colleagues to do the same.
