The $800 billion in cuts to Medicaid funding your chamber is proposing is unconscionable. It seems like you guys can justify anything under the guise of eliminating “waste, fraud, and abuse,” even ending vital services to the most vulnerable North Carolinians. These cuts will hurt rural hospitals and directly harm many of the people who voted for you. Can you really not find other places in the federal budget to reduce expenses? Reducing our bloated defense budget and corporate subsidies to billionaires like Elon Musk would be great places to start.
