Reject Hegseth Nomination Over Disturbing Misconduct Allegations
To: Sen. Kennedy, Sen. Cassidy
From: A constituent in New Orleans, LA
December 2
The revelations surrounding Pete Hegseth's alleged misconduct raise serious concerns about his suitability to lead the Department of Defense. The disturbing accounts of his repeated drunkenness, sexual impropriety, and hostile work environment at previous organizations he led are disqualifying for such a critical role overseeing our national security. His reported behavior demonstrates a staggering lack of judgment, discipline and respect for women that is unacceptable in our military's leadership. The allegations warrant a full and impartial investigation before allowing his nomination to proceed further. I urge you to thoroughly examine these matters in order to uphold the utmost standards expected of those entrusted with the awesome responsibilities of this office. The American people and our armed forces deserve principled, ethical leadership committed to the core values of honor, integrity and professionalism. For the love of our country, please do not confirm this nomination. It is a disaster.
