I have voted all my life. I want to continue to vote. I want our Democracy to continue. Please root out and delete the provision in this Big Bill that would take away my right to vote. There should not be a provision that gives the president the right to cancel elections. Don’t you agree? Another way this Big Bill hurts our democracy is the provision that takes away any need to obey the law. It allows the president to ignore the rulings of the judiciary with no fear of reprisal. In voting for this you will, in effect, be ending the rule of law in our Nation. How can that be good? Consolidating all power in one branch of government, the executive, installs the president as the supreme leader. THIS IS NOT WHO WE ARE!! Don’t tell me you can’t see the problem? The writers of our Constitution could. They knew we needed a system of checks and balances to avoid just the situation this provision pushes our country into. You, Congressman, are a member of one of the three coequal branches of our government. Use your power! Save our country!
