Oppose HR 867 and the criminalization of boycotts.

To: Rep. Salinas

From: A constituent in Salem, OR

May 5

Are the writers of H.R 867 serious? Are they really going to make it illegal to participate in boycotts imposed by the UN and IGOs? How are these actions (from the summary on Congress.gov) in compliance with the US Constitution? "Prohibited actions include (1) refusing to do business with companies organized under the laws of the boycotted country, if the refusal is pursuant to an agreement with or request from the country or IGO imposing the boycott; (2) refusing to employ any U.S. person on the basis of race, religion, sex, or national origin; and (3) furnishing information about whether someone is associated with charitable or fraternal organizations that support the boycotted country." Can I count on you to raise a loud opposition to this ridiculous and nativist bill? https://dl-rapidbot.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/attachments/1/b48f/b496/b48fb496-c91c-4eca-9f59-e416821c4e41.php
