I'm writing to urge you to advocate for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, who is in critical conditon and is being held by the Israeli military. Abu Safiya has faced physical and psychological torture at the hands of his Israeli captors and is in desperate need of medical attention. This is a doctor who has pledged himself to aiding and healing the sick and those in Gaza who have been wounded by the Israeli occupation of Gaza. I urge you to use your influecne to advoacte for his immediate release. No one should suffer such abuse and torture, the fact that this is a man dedicated to healing others makes this that much more despicable. I call on you to advocate for his immecdiate release and to vote to end all current and future military aid to Israel. An aparthied state like Israel no longer needs or deserve any more of Americans' hard earned tax dollars. Please free Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and end all American military aid to Israel.
