An Open Letter
To: Sen. Lee
From: A verified voter in Salt Lake City, UT
June 17
I was going to just leave it at that email yesterday, but I realized I had more to say. You need to apologize. Not just to Tina Smith, Amy Klobuchar and the Minnesota representatives of the House for your callousness regarding the murder of their friend, but to me and all the other citizens of Utah. We put you in the Senate and I know you think you're untouchable, but you ultimately answer to us. Your conduct has reflected poorly on us as well. We are now sharing the blame for your callousness because we are the reason you have that job in the first place. I for one am furious I have to apologize for your behavior. You are a United States Senator. Not an influencer, not a troll, but someone whose words have meaning. Your job is vote on legislation and listen to me and the other people of Utah. That is it. Delete your Twitter, it's never led to anything good and start taking your job seriously.
