Reject discriminatory "Patriotism Not Pride Act" (H.R. 4398)

To: Rep. Ciscomani

From: A verified voter in Tucson, AZ

July 20

I strongly oppose the "Patriotism Not Pride Act" (H.R. 4398) due to its blatant discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community. This legislation aims to prohibit federal agencies from supporting Pride events, campaigns, or activities related to sexual orientation and gender identity. It would also ban the display of Pride flags on federal property. Such actions are a direct attack on the rights and dignity of LGBTQIA+ individuals and go against principles of equality and inclusivity. Preventing federal recognition and support for this community is unacceptable and perpetuates harmful stigmas. As public servants, our duty is to protect the rights of all Americans, not marginalize vulnerable groups. I urge you to firmly reject this discriminatory bill and instead work towards policies that promote acceptance, diversity, and equal treatment under the law. We cannot allow bigotry and intolerance to shape our nation's values.
