BLOCK Trump’s Illegal “Project Homecoming” — Constitutional Rights Are at Risk
Message to Congress:
I’m urgently demanding that you take immediate legislative action to block Donald Trump’s “Project Homecoming” proclamation, which represents a blatant abuse of executive power and a direct violation of the Constitution and federal law.
This directive threatens:
• Due process rights under the 5th and 14th Amendments by authorizing property seizures, wage garnishment, incarceration, and deportation without judicial review.
• Protections against unlawful search and seizure under the 4th Amendment through the confiscation of homes, vehicles, and savings based solely on immigration status.
• Equal protection under the law, targeting undocumented people with sweeping, discriminatory punishments.
• International legal obligations under the Refugee Act, ICCPR, and UN Convention Against Torture, by coercing so-called “voluntary” departures under threat of jail and economic ruin.
• The Posse Comitatus Act and federalism, by deputizing civilians and local officers to enforce immigration law without accountability.
• Separation of powers, by imposing an unlegislated enforcement regime under the guise of a presidential proclamation—violating the Administrative Procedure Act.
This is not immigration policy—it’s authoritarianism dressed in xenophobic propaganda. It sets a terrifying precedent and lays the foundation for mass civil liberties violations. I’m asking you to:
1. Publicly denounce Project Homecoming.
2. Introduce or support legislation prohibiting executive abuse of immigration enforcement powers.
3. Investigate the legality and funding mechanisms behind this unlawful order.
America must never abandon the rule of law for political theater. We are watching. Act now.
