Witnesses at the Whipple building are reporting empty car seats, but no children. Where are they? We don’t know if they are safe inside because visitors- including attorneys- are being prohibited from entering. We know where children are in the south because we can HEAR them inside. There are no such reports coming out of Minnesota, and we want to know why. Have the children been “shipped” somewhere? Separated from their parents? We have a man in the White House accused of child trafficking. Would it not make sense to demand to see the children in case he is moving them illegally? Or worse- selling them? There are approximately 40,000 human souls in the ICE detention system. There are approximately 340M human souls living in the United States of America. There are 345 members of Congress. THREE HUNDRED FORTY FIVE representing 350M people. That means your position of power has truly meaningful reach. And yet here we sit. Blind. Ignorant. Helpless. WE THE PEOPLE urge you to take action. Tell us where the children are. Tell us when due process begins. Tell us what human rights violations are taking place inside these camps. Tell us what is happening. And when you’re done telling us, use your platforms to SHOW US HOW TO FIGHT BACK.
