Subject: Strong Opposition to the Acceptance of Qatari Jet
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the Administration’s potential acceptance of a $400 million jet from Qatar. This decision raises serious constitutional and ethical questions. Whether framed as a gift or a business deal, it would create undue obligations to a foreign entity, compromising our national integrity and sovereignty.
Beyond the constitutional concerns, the security risks associated with integrating this aircraft into our fleet are alarming. Preparing it for operational use would require extensive retrofitting—costing taxpayers millions of dollars and taking years to complete. The financial burden and time investment make this an impractical and irresponsible decision.
