Your Response on Israel Fails to Acknowledge the Crisis in Gaza
To: Rep. Crank
From: A constituent in Colorado Springs, CO
April 11
Dear Jeff Crank,
Thank you for responding to my message.
However, I must express my deep disappointment in your reply. While I understand the historical alliance between the United States and Israel, your response completely ignores the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza — one that is being funded, in part, by our tax dollars.
You mention October 7th as horrifying (and it was), but you say nothing of the over 30,000 Palestinians who have been killed since — the majority being women and children. You do not acknowledge the bombing of hospitals, schools, refugee camps, or the forced displacement of over 1.5 million people. This omission is not neutral — it is political.
“Peace” without justice is just a pause in violence. And peace cannot be achieved by supplying weapons to a government currently facing international accusations of war crimes.
If you believe in American values — democracy, dignity, and human rights — then I urge you to:
Support an immediate, permanent ceasefire.
End unconditional military aid to Israel.
Push for accountability through international investigation.
I respectfully ask that you listen to the thousands of your constituents who are speaking out — not just for Palestine, but for humanity.
Because history will remember those who stayed silent while children were bombed and shredded to bits .
