I am writing to express my deep concern regarding recent actions taken by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the leadership of Elon Musk. These actions, including interference with federal agencies, access to critical financial systems, and the forced downsizing of government personnel, threaten the stability and integrity of our democracy. ### Treasury Access & Financial Control DOGE’s unauthorized access to the U.S. Treasury’s payment systems raises serious ethical and legal concerns. The potential manipulation of Social Security, government payroll, and federal disbursements for political or corporate gain is unacceptable. The resignation of experienced officials in protest highlights the dangers of this unchecked power. ### Breach of National Security Protocols Reports indicate that DOGE members have bypassed security clearances to access classified information within USAID, leading to personnel removals and disruptions in critical international aid operations. The integrity of our national security must not be compromised for political or private interests. ### Forced Resignation of Federal Employees The systematic targeting of career civil servants through buyouts and pressure to resign is a blatant attempt to dismantle the federal workforce. This reckless downsizing undermines institutional knowledge and weakens the ability of government agencies to function effectively. The American people deserve a government staffed by qualified professionals, not a political purge driven by private interests. I urge all members of Congress, the Executive Branch, and relevant oversight agencies to: 1. **Immediately investigate DOGE’s actions** and its influence over federal operations. 2. **Protect the integrity of government agencies** by ensuring transparency, security, and adherence to the law. 3. **Defend the federal workforce** from politically motivated downsizing that threatens our nation’s stability. Government exists to serve the people, not private entities or political agendas. I call on you to take swift action to prevent further erosion of our institutions and safeguard the democratic principles upon which our nation was founded.
