Oppose Indecent Exposure Modernization Act

To: Rep. Brent, Gov. DeWine, Sen. Smith

From: A constituent in Cleveland, OH

June 4

House Bill 249 is a discriminatory proposal that targets LGBTQ+ individuals through vague and harmful language that enables selective enforcement and harassment. It also disproportionately polices women by redefining “private area” to include covered parts of the female breast, reinforcing sexist double standards and threatening free expression. This bill undermines constitutional rights, invites government overreach, and does nothing to enhance public safety, making it essential that lawmakers vote NO.
