Provide crucial aid to Gaza and support human rights

To: Rep. Omar, Sen. Klobuchar, Sen. Smith

March 22

The continuing treatment of Palestinians by the State of Israel is appalling. People continue to be murdered, to die of exposure and starvation, to be denied medical care. Ceasefire violations are frequent. This is all inexcusable. I ask that you refuse any donations from groups that support the State of Israel oppression of Gazans. You need to return any AIPAC money and do so publicly. The United States must not provide any weapons or aid to the State of Israel. At minimum, we must support the following demands, as defined by UNICEF. Displaced people must be allowed to move freely and voluntarily return to their homes as soon as possible. Full, unfettered movement of humanitarian aid into Gaza, at scale, via multiple entry points, facilitated by the UN. National and international humanitarian staff have regular and unfettered access through several entry points to and from the Gaza Strip. Freedom of movement for humanitarian staff within the Gaza Strip is also critical. The specialist supplies and staff needed to carry out unexploded ordnance detection and removal must be permitted entry to the Gaza Strip and must not be impeded in their operations, including coordination. You have an opportunity to step up and lead. Politics as usual has failed the people of Gaza. It is time for bold action.
