I am writing to to request the removal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from his role as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Men who snort cocaine off toilet seats should not be making decisions that affect the health and well being of millions of Americans. RFK Jr.’s decision to remove and replace members of a long-standing federal vaccine advisory panel endangers the herd immunity of citizens.
He has also cut staffing of scientific advisory boards and cancelled their processes, weakening scientific independence and harming long-term public health infrastructure and research capacity.
His basis for his actions is rooted in the same maligned “research” as crunchy moms who use echo chamber chat boards to decide what is best for their families.
Removal from office is a serious and consequential action. However, when credible concerns arise regarding scientific integrity, agency stability, and the protection of public health systems, it is appropriate for Congress and executive leadership to evaluate whether continued service is in the best interest of the country.
For these reasons, I respectfully urge leaders to conduct a full review of Mr. Kennedy’s leadership and remove him from his position.
