As a constituent, with many federal employee friends, I must insist that you vote in favor of the clean Continuing Resolution presented by the House of Representatives. This CR will return the government to a fully operational status and allow payments to resume for furloughed federal employees who would return to duty. This will allow everyone to get on with business and pay the bills. Continuing the shutdown is not necessary and falls squarely on the Democrats that are opposing the CR. Federal employees will remember. There are a lot of federal employees in Maryland. Opening the government with the CR is the reasonable and responsible thing to do. Many are now struggling to make ends meet, which includes feeding their children. Marylanders are hurting. Reopen the government. Vote in favor of the CR. Pay our workers. Save their children.
