If the Republican party would start listening to what their constituents and the American voters want they would not need to resort to illegal gerrymandering in order to rig an election so they can "win".
I don't agree with gerrymandering, but at least in the Democratic heavy states they are giving the voters the chance to decide if they approve of gerrymandering maps in response to the Republicans' illegally gerrymandering without their voters' input.
It would be easier to pass policies that work for all Americans. Not everyone will agree on every policy, but at the very least if the Republicans would listen to what the majority of American people want and pass legislation that helps us instead of showing 100% loyalty to a corrupt president, gerrymandering would not be necessary.
Now, instead of the American people choosing who represents us, the people running for office are making the choices for us.
That is not how a democracy works and the Republicans know it. That is minority rule.
Here's the thing. Even Republican voters are turning on the Republican party and do not support Trump. The tiny base of MAGA supporters will still be outnumbered. And if the Democrats win, you had better believe that every single Republican legislator will pay the price once the Democrats take over.
The Republicans have sold their souls to the devil (Trump). Selling one's soul to the devil rarely works out well in the end.
So go ahead, Republicans. Cheat, threaten, intimidate, and try to suppress our votes. But the American people overwhelmingly disapprove of Trump and the Republican party. We will still show up at the polls. We will still make our voices heard. We will refuse to be put under minority rule.
If Hungary can do it so can America.
