The president alluding to yesterday’s tragic accident as a potential result of “DEI hiring” is unconscionable and unacceptable. We need to be speaking often and loudly against this ridiculous offense, tantamount to saying that these things happened “because they were black, trans, female, old, disabled, [insert non-white, male, human trait here].” This cannot be allowed to continue, especially without necessary response. Yes, sometimes the best way to fight a bully is to ignore them…but when they are the leader of the free world, that isn’t possible. Silence is complicity.
