(1) Please do not surrender your power to act on presidential appointments. (2) Please oppose Pete Hegseth's appointment as Secretary of Defense. Mr. Hegseth has been credibly accused of financial mismanagement, sexual impropri ety, and personal misconduct. He worked for two different veterans' groups. He seems to have spent a lot of money, to have gotten drunk in public, to have harassed women in the office, and generally made a nuisance of himself. He was fired by both groups. His performance with those relatively small groups suggests that he is unqualified to deal with our gigantic military system. Thank you for protecting our military from Mr. Hegseth.
