Condemn Israel's inhumane military tactics against Palestinian civilians.
To: Rep. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Sen. Romney
From: A constituent in Provo, UT
October 22
The situation in Gaza is deeply concerning. Israel's military practices, such as using Palestinian civilians as human shields dressed in military uniforms, are egregious violations of international law and human rights. This new form of exploiting civilians as "bait" to draw fire reveals the dehumanizing racism that underlies Israel's warfare against Palestinians. While claiming self-defense, Israel shows blatant disregard for the lives of Palestinian civilians, destroying 60% of civilian structures in Gaza. This pattern of disproportionate violence and disregard for civilian lives cannot be justified. Funding these abusive policies with tax revenue is unacceptable. I urge you to reconsider the allocation of resources and reaffirm a commitment to human rights, dignity, and international law in dealings with the Palestinian people. The normalization of such racist practices is a stain on our national values. We must find a path forward that upholds human rights and self-determination for all. I do not support my tax dollars funding this genocide.
