I am writing as your constituent to urge you to actively support and advance legislation that establishes universal healthcare in the United States. Our current system—fragmented, costly, and administratively complex—continues to leave millions uninsured or underinsured, while families face rising premiums, surprise billing, and medical debt even when they technically “have coverage.”
Universal healthcare is not only morally responsible but also economically sound. Every other advanced nation has demonstrated that a unified, guaranteed system improves health outcomes, reduces overall costs, strengthens workforce participation, and provides stability for working families and small businesses. The United States already spends more per capita on healthcare than any country in the world, yet Americans receive less security and endure greater financial risk. We can—and must—do better.
This is a pivotal moment. Constituents across the political spectrum overwhelmingly support ensuring that every American has access to comprehensive, affordable healthcare without fear of financial ruin. Whether through Medicare for All, a national single-payer model, or an alternative framework that achieves true universal coverage, I urge you to make this a central legislative priority and to support bills that move us decisively in this direction.
Please be a champion for a healthcare system that guarantees care as a right, not a privilege. I ask that you publicly support universal healthcare legislation, co-sponsor relevant bills, and use your voice within Congress to push for meaningful transformation.
Thank you for your service and for taking this issue seriously. I look forward to hearing your position and learning about the steps you plan to take to ensure all Americans receive the healthcare security they deserve.
