I am alarmed by reports that Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) task force has gained access to sensitive Treasury payment systems, including Social Security and Medicare. This unelected group should not have sweeping powers to potentially disrupt critical government operations and payments that millions of Americans rely on. Musk claims payment approval officers rubberstamp even fraudulent requests, but provides no evidence. His aims seem overtly political - to slash the federal workforce and gut programs under the guise of "efficiency." I urge you to investigate this serious breach, revoke DOGE's access, and ensure proper oversight prevents any group from interfering with vital payment systems that keep our government functioning. We cannot allow ideology to compromise essential services.
