Our democracy, rule of law, justice, and public safety are all being torn apart before our eyes. We need you to preserve fair elections and our right to vote! You must vote NO on the Save Act. Any vote other than NO will be an affront to your constituents in North Carolina. Requiring Americans - and we know this is aimed at women - to provide a birth certificate, passport, or some other gold-tier citizenship document every time they register to vote, all under the guise of ensuring that only US citizens are voting. It is already illegal for noncitizens to vote so this is just another attempt to suppress the vote. And in this case, to suppress the vote of women specifically. This is yet another outrage! Additionally, our elections depend on the National Archives. The current president has fired the Archivist and installed an unqualified young partisan crony. As you know, the job of the Archivist is to Administer the Electoral College process, receive/validate certifications. -Code of Federal Regulations for all agencies. -Constitutional amendment process. -Holds all federal records and determines what is to be destroyed, kept temporarily or permanently. -Holds personnel files of all federal employees. -Holds classified docs (and not in boxes in a bathroom!). They are the ombudsman of the Freedom of Information Act which is what citizens/journalists use to keep the government accountable. Replacing the Archivist with a partisan crony guarantees the end of Democratic elections in the United States. Are you for or against upholding Democracy? Because right now it appears that you are not upholding and defending the Constitution of the United States of America. We need you to do that. You must Vote NO on the Save Act!!!
