I’m writing to urge you to support the Clean Water for Iowa Act (HF 2354 / SF 183) and to take immediate steps to bring this bill to a public hearing and full vote. Iowa is facing a serious water quality crisis due to unchecked pollution from thousands of medium and large factory farms. This bill would finally require mandatory water pollution permits, monitoring, and transparency for operations that currently discharge waste with no accountability. We cannot afford to keep ignoring this. Clean water is essential to public health, rural vitality, and our state’s future. Please support the Clean Water for Iowa Act and advocate for its passage this session.
