You are representing me. I’m writing to let you know that I am upset about many things in our government right now. I’m embarrassed by our government’s actions. Yesterday and today were bad days in the stock market where well over 2 Trillion dollars was removed. Why? Tariffs. Uncertainty. Hard working people are getting hit in the wallet, hard, while politicians talk. Our wallets are hearing our government. Puts are making those in-the-know, even richer. Capitalism is what we are built on, but the system is rigged into oligarchs that can buy votes and force their policies to enrich themselves even further and tear apart safety nets for our vets and poor. That doesn’t sound like America, democracy or even capitalism to me anymore. Does it to you? It used to be that you work hard and smart and you could afford living a decent life. My grandfather was an army vet for this country. He supported a wife, 3 kids, a house and a car on his meager salary as a photographer. Now, that’s unthinkable. Money isn’t trickling down, with crazy inflation, greed and power. American spirit? Where is it? Today, a life’s worth of hard work’s savings can be severely damaged by one person holding a board on the largest propaganda sites calling themselves “news” there is. What is our country becoming? What are you doing?
