Vote No On Nonsense Internet Censorship and Verification Laws

To: Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd, Rep. Harris

From: A constituent in Concord, NC

December 20

Section 230 reform is a blatant attempt to seize control of the internet by bad actors. Section 230 makes the internet work. Removing it or "reforming it" will squash nearly every website that isn't a megacorporation. The same goes for this ID-law ID verification nonsense. The technology does not work and is ripe for abuse. It puts an undue cost burden on small businesses that will cost them to collapse. Weakening encryption will cripple e-commerce entirely. Laws like KOSA push this kind of nonsense and will destroy the internet as we know it. These laws don't do what they claim, and cause immense damage. Vote NO on these bills.
