I’d like them to cancel all contracts with any surveillance organizations.

To: Gov. Lamont

From: A constituent in Stafford Springs, CT

September 23

I’ve just read about the use of noise detecting license plate scanners being installed and implemented to keep track of folks who modify their exhaust. I think this is an extraordinarily weak issue to use as justification for violating the privacy expectation that must be afforded to all CT residents. We have far greater issues that deserve no less than our full attention, such as rising costs, keeping ICE out of our communities, and ensuring every resident of our state has access to programs that provide assistance in these trying times. I implore you to take a stand for the will of your constituents, no one wants these cameras watching us in our communities. Thank you.
