Trump says migrants are dangerous. Also says he’ll release them to work. ???

I am writing today to ask for some civic guidance. We were told for the past ten years that immigrants are “bad hombres,” and we needed to deport them. Then we were told ICE would only go after the worst of the worst. Then we were told that the plan was working and only criminals are being detained. And then last evening, Trump said that the lack of migrant labor was problematic and he suggested issuing temporary visas to these same folks to work the farms at reduced rates to save farmers and crops.
He said these people are dangerous. Then he said they’re criminals. And now he says they belong on farms as workers. Which is it? Criminals or hard workers?
