Defend public lands from privatization, preserve national heritage
To: Sen. Crapo, Sen. Risch
From: A constituent in Ketchum, ID
April 5
The sale of public lands represents a concerning trend that threatens to diminish access to outdoor recreation and conservation efforts. As a citizen who values these natural spaces, I urge you to oppose any proposals that would privatize or transfer ownership of public lands currently managed by the federal government and vote in favor of bills that protect public lands from sale. These lands belong to all Americans and play a vital role in preserving our nation's natural heritage, biodiversity, and opportunities for responsible enjoyment of the great outdoors. Private ownership could restrict access or lead to unsustainable development, depriving future generations of these invaluable resources. I respectfully request that you defend the public lands system, reject measures aimed at selling off these cherished natural areas, and support legislation safeguarding public lands from sale. Protecting public lands ensures they can continue to be appreciated and experienced by all.
