Reject proposed voter suppression, uphold democratic integrity
To: Rep. Biggs
From: A verified voter in Mesa, AZ
April 8
The SAVE Act would impose burdensome new documentary requirements for voter registration that could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters who lack ready access to certain documents. Research shows voter impersonation is extremely rare, invalidating claims that such restrictions are needed to prevent fraud. Voting is a fundamental right in a democracy. Instead of erecting barriers, efforts should focus on making the electoral process more accessible and secure for all eligible citizens. I urge you to reject this misguided legislation that threatens to undermine the integrity of U.S. elections.
