Recently, the majority of Floridian’s voted to include a constitutional right to abortion. Although the measure did not get the super majority required, it is clear that most Floridians feel the current ban is too restrictive. I urge you to pass new legislation loosening restrictions on a woman’s right to choose. Your constituents have clearly spoken and are counting on you to defend women’s healthcare. Pass legislation lengthening the time period a woman may seek an abortion to at least 20 weeks. Also, remove two doctors needed for fetal abnormalities or health of the mother - in emergency situations, this delays life-saving care.
