According to recently uncovered DOJ memos, Stephen Miller wants to institutionalize the disabled people in America.
Not a shock from someone who seems to love white nationalist and Nazi propaganda, but greatly disturbing.
It is already an extreme struggle for families to get the support they need to care for disabled family members.
It is a huge financial burden, at the same time that a member of a disabled person's family often has to give up a paying job to provide care.
Community homes, full care facilities, and nursing homes often have years long waiting lists, while also being unaffordable for many.
HUD is trying to actively stripping protections from disabled adults who might otherwise be able to live on their own, with certain accommodations.
We are stripping government money and assistance from people who live with disabilities while also stripping them of human dignity and attempting to place them in institutions where they will not be seen by society.
All of this while giving state and federal tax breaks to the ultra wealthy.
This is the height of immortality.
This is personal to me, as a disabled person. If my husband was not able to provide financial and sometimes physical support, I would need these very programs that are being stripped of funding. It is a terrifying prospect.
You, as a member of Congress, must stop these attrocities and start make our tax dollars work for the average American!
