Are we for real right now? Are we all actually ok sending troops into cities? With children seeing individuals in military fatigues line the streets. This is not the America I want to raise my children in. We are so much better than this and it is time we stand up and actually work towards returning to a constitutional democracy. It's just unfathomable that Congress has allowed this to happen. I have to ask you and all your colleagues - how far is too far? Is it when we send troops to Charlotte? When it's in our backyards? Let us be reminded: First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
