I urge you to oppose the nomination of Kash Patel as FBI Director. FBI Directors serve 10-year terms to prevent politicization, yet Trump continues to undermine this principle by forcing out Director Wray and nominating a partisan loyalist with a history of pushing conspiracy theories.
Patel has openly discussed using the FBI as a tool for political retribution, compiling lists of so-called “deep state” enemies and backing efforts to discredit legitimate investigations. His record of misinformation and threats against civil servants make him unfit to lead the nation’s top law enforcement agency.
This nomination echoes McCarthy-era tactics of targeting perceived political opponents, a dangerous step toward authoritarianism. Please do everything in your power to oppose his confirmation and protect the integrity of the FBI.
Free thinking independent Alaskans don’t appreciate anything that smelks like McCarthy-era oppression.
