Why is it that just days before we attacked Iran, Kash Patel fired a group of CI-12 staffers whose counterintelligence expertise was on Iran? With CI-12 gutted and resources for homeland security pouring into ICE/border patrol rather than counterterrorism, we’ve weakened our ability to fight the real threats that we’ll be facing in the wake of a war on Iran. With the tragedy of six servicemen killed Iranian retribution, and a mass shooting in Austin that may be a related act of terrorism, we are now going to watch the horrors of war play out. Donald Trump’s war on Iraq was a war of choice with no congressional approval. Our sons and daughters will be paying the price for reckless choices on the world stage. The midterms are coming. Change is around the corner. Your leadership, and that of your fellow Republican Trump-boot lickers, has led to the nightmare we’re in.
