Reject Kennedy's Anti-Vaccine Nomination for Disastrous HHS Leadership

To: Sen. Crapo, Sen. Risch, Rep. Simpson

From: A constituent in Boise, ID

February 5

I urge you to vote against confirming Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. His dangerous anti-vaccination views and promotion of unproven "cures" for autism put public health at severe risk. As Secretary, he could severely undermine confidence in life-saving vaccines and critical medical research. Kennedy's group actively spread misinformation that contributed to a devastating measles outbreak in Samoa, where over 5,700 people were infected and 83 died. He has also made blatantly false claims about COVID-19 vaccine trials and adverse events reporting. Putting someone who rejects established science and prioritizes conspiracy theories over facts in charge of agencies like the CDC and FDA would be disastrous for our nation's health and safety. Furthermore, Kennedy lacks the necessary qualifications and experience to effectively manage massive health programs like Medicare and Medicaid serving millions of Americans. His confirmation would throw these vital systems into chaos and jeopardize access to care for our most vulnerable citizens. As a matter of protecting public health and preserving trust in our medical institutions, I implore you to reject this unacceptable nomination. Kennedy's anti-science views and lack of relevant experience make him patently unfit to lead HHS. Please put the wellbeing of all Americans first and vote no on his confirmation.
