VOTE NO ON CS/CS/HB 1221

Re: CS/CS/HB 1221-Local Option Taxes Some legislators seem to be making sure we won't have to worry about tourists anymore.  It is allowing the destruction of our natural resources, letting chemical and oil companies run rampant, and kicking endangered species, such as manatees, off the endangered species lists. In addition, it is mandating hostility towards the LGBTQ+ community (who travel a lot!), exiling the immigrants who pick our fresh produce, and, now, potentially stopping marketing Florida as a vacation destination. How foolish! Tourism is the number one industry in Florida.  If visitors stop coming to Florida, we'll lose about $50 billion dollars a year. Do better. Protect Florida's natural beauty, animals, coastlines, and parks. Stop marginalizing, and, indeed, do prioritize people over polluters! Stop slashing property taxes to defund tourism. It's financial suicide. Please vote NO on CS/CS/HB 1221-Local Option Taxes. Thank you.
