Did you see today's news coverage about Blue, the 24-foot aluminum sculpture by the late Joel Shapiro, being removed from the Kennedy Center grounds this morning? One of the removal crew, who knew Shapiro personally and was asked by his daughter to supervise the removal, confirmed to me that this was NOT initiated by the Shapiro estate. As a member of the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees, Senator, how do you feel about this censorship? Because I think it sucks. YOU ARE ON THE BOARD. Do something. Why do you let Donald Trump destroy our region's performing arts center, in so many ways, without a murmur coming from you?
