This letter expresses profound disappointment and strong opposition to the proposed redistricting maps for Indiana. These maps threaten the core principles of fair representation and erode the integrity of the democratic process. As a concerned resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, I believe that when districts are drawn to favor one political party over another, or to dilute the voice s of specific communities, the will of the voters is undermined. This discourages participation in the democratic process. This may be, in fact, exactly your aim. Be warned: authoritarian regimes will ALWAYS be toppled by the people, no matter how frantically the fascists tighten their hold.
