I trust you will vote NO on the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. I call many wonderful trans women loved ones, and am disgusted by the GOP’s non-stop attacks on them. I trust sports officials, cis and trans athletes and medical experts in women’s sports are fully capable of managing their own affairs fairly. After all, trans people have been able to participate in the Olympics for over 20 years now, and it wasn’t an issue until this fear-mongering started. Please call out your Democratic colleagues who may be tempted. Confidence in the Democratic Party is low. Seeing Dems break ranks and join the GOP is disheartening while this coup continues to proceed. Even if they don’t care about trans people, though they should, they ought to know that we are also looking to see a unified front in disrupting and slowing every move this government aims to make until they restore the constitution and return the power of the purse. Thank you.
